The Psychology of Competitive Dressage: Keeping it together on the day
Sydney Dressage Inc. believe it is important to support our members on the day of competitions. We are offering an educational workshop on how to deal with any competition day issues that may arise. John Crampton is an experienced sports psychologist and he is here to teach you a few simple techniques to help you on competition days.
Some things you will experience and learn at this unmounted workshop:
Developing routines for competition
Strategies and skills for managing your emotions throughout the competition day
Understanding and optimising concentration during a test
Being able to see and feel your ride through the eyes of the judges
Learning about the new technology that provides feedback to the rider on their emotional state and focus levels
Best managing your support team at a competition
Being out at a competition can be stressful for people and their horses. This workshop provides a great opportunity for those who may struggle on the day of a competition to learn some techniques on how to better prepare yourself for that before the big day.
Enter the clinic through Nominate, there is a $20 entry fee with all proceeds donated to NSW Farmers Drought Appeal.
